BOOKMAN

Historically, type specimen posters were the primary method used to introduce and promote a new typeface. While posters are now one of many ways to promote a typeface, today’s type specimen posters are often much more expressive than their counterparts of the past.

This poster showcases the characteristics and uses of the typeface Bookman, or Bookman Old Style. It features full capital and lowercase alphabets, numerals, styles, common glyphs, and text at different point sizes. To honor one of the main uses of Bookman, the typface and background information are playfully presented as a book illustration.
